How long have you been in business?
I have been the owner of Shores Kennels since 1986, of course that doesn't count the previous 12 years of being employed here!
What is your primary product or service?
Extraordinary Pet Hotel!! Our primary service is to insure that our guests are taken care of while their 'parents' are out of town or need our service due to a variety of reasons.
Feed, Play and Clean up after your pet while they are in our care!
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Shores Kennels was my first job as a teenager of 15 years old!
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Experience and quality of care...living on the premises enables us to keep our finger on the pulse of our guests needs. A dogs needs are basically pretty simple...but unfortunately a lot of folks have difficulty providing those needs...Love...Food...Exercise and structure...or routine.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We have one location and do not plan on expanding..with expansion something has to be sacrificed...since there is only one of ME and I can't be two places at once...I am happy with just one place.

We are located in the suburbs of the metro Detroit area on Harper Ave. Just North of 14 mile. Accessible by I-94 off of exit 234A (Harper South)
What type of payments do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards, checks and cash.
Which areas do you service?
Since we are so easy to get to we draw from all over...we make sure our clients that come from the west side or north of of can be serviced out of hours as not to hit 'rush hour'
So basically if you are within 30 min of us we can help you.

What are your hours of operation?
We are open 7 days a week, but do close down during our 'slow hours' every day.
This enables us to manage our time well, and keep costs down for our clients. Even though we are closed I am here "taking care of business" So just call...I will more than likely answer your call, unless I am in the kennel. In that case, leave a message I will call you right back.
